Tess Daly isn’t the first BBC presenter to show off more bust than she meant to, but she sure wants to make it the last time that happens to herself.
The Strictly Come Dancing host has vowed to keep her curves under wraps after she gave viewers an eyeful when she wore a low-cut red dress.Tess, 43, told Hello! magazine that she was oblivious to just how much boob was on show until after she saw herself on the programme’s sister show It Takes Two.Noting how much cleavage she had on display, she told the magazine, ‘I went, ‘Oh my god, why did nobody tell me about the boobs?’
And she explained just how the situation came about in the first place.’What happened was, the bra I had on didn’t fit the dress so I wore one of those designs that has gel at the sides, which kind of pushes you up and, I guess, gives you an extra couple of cup sizes.Even though Tess used to be a model in her younger days and was recently the face of lingerie brand La Senza, she claims to be far more reserved saying, ‘I don’t usually show a lot of cleavage, it’s not in my comfort zone.’
‘That’ll be the first and last time. The people at home don’t want to see that, it’s distracting.’The bust-boosting Suzanne Neville evening gown stirred up quite an online frenzy as fans of the show posted thousands of messages about it.Tess has been the host for all nine series of the popular BBC1 weekend show so it comes as no surprise to find out the former model has tried to persuade her husband Vernon Kay to take part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
But even though she claims her presenter hubby has ‘got rhythm’ work commitments on another channel have ruled him out.According Tess, ‘Unfortunately, he’s doing the All Star Family Fortunes Christmas special on the same day. It’s a shame because he really can move.’Former Bolton Wanderers footballer Fabrice Muamba will be joining the Strictly festive line up since he has retired from the game after recovering from a heart attack in the middle of a match. But Tess is hoping other sporting heroes will take part such as Olympic princess Zara Phillips.Singing the royal horse-rider’s praises the presenter said, ‘I think she’d be really committed and people would get behind her. If she says yes, that would be fantastic.’ – Dailymail
