Police arrests five criminals, recovers cash, weapons

LAHORE: The Investigation Police Factory Area and Ghaziabad Police arrested five members of the Bahadur and Arif alias Chaudhary dacoit gangs, including Irshad Hussain and Zakir Hussain Butt, recovering one lakh 80 thousand in cash, one motorcycle, four cellphones and illegal weapons from their possession.

According to an official handout, on the directive of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Ahmad Raza Tahir, DIG (Investigation) Ali Aamir Malik and SSP (Investigation) Abdul Razzaq Cheema directed SP Cantt, Sayed Muhammad Amin Bukhari, to take effective measures against criminal gangs involved in heinous crimes, who further constituted two special police teams under the supervision of DSP North Cantt Circle Mian Absar Ahmad and SDPO (Defence) Mustansar Atta Bajwa and other police officials.

The police teams worked hard continuously and were able to collect particulars of these criminal gangs and arrested five of their members. The criminals have a vast crime history and seven cases had been traced against them in Police Station Factory Area and Ghaziabad. Police also recovered one lakh 80 thousand in cash, one motorcycle, four cellphones as well as illegal weapons from their possession. The arrested were identified as ringleader Irshad Hussain alias Shaday Shah, Akbar Shah, Zakir Hussain, Ayyub Sabir and Muhammad Asif.

The CCPO announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the concerned police teams. Other members of the police team include sub-inspector Muhammad Arshad, Muneer Ahmad, ASI Jamil Khan, Muhammad Arshad, Abdul Ghafoor, HC Saifullah, Muhammad Akbar, Constable Muhammad Iqbal, Rizwan Sakhawat, Nazeer Hussain, Asmat Ullah, Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Jameel, Zulqarnain, Muhammad Imran and Bilal Ahmad.
