Govt taking all possible steps to alleviate sufferings of common man: PM

ISLAMABAD, Oct 6 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said the government is taking all possible steps to alleviate sufferings of the common man and in this regard development agenda has been prioritized.  He said that projects that are most beneficial to larger segments of the society have been kept foremost in the government development programme.
The Prime Minister was talking to Parliamentarians who called on him at his Chamber in Parliament House.The Parliamentarians apprised the Prime Minister about various matters relating to their constituencies. They also briefed the Prime Minister about the status of ongoing projects in their areas.The Prime Minister assured the Parliamentarians that despite the devastating floods, the government would complete the ongoing development projects in different areas of the country.
However, he said, only those projects would be catered which are near completion or most of its work has been done. He urged the Parliamentarians to personally monitor the projects in their respective areas and guide the government regarding any improvement that if needed.
The Parliamentarians included, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, MNAs, Ms. Faryal Talpur,Ramesh Lal, Nazir Ahmed Bughio, Mir Gul Muhammad Jakhrani, Nawab Ali Wasan, Lt. Gen ®, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Malik Shakeel Awan, Ms. Saira Afzal Tarar and M Junaid Anwar Chaudhry -App
