KARACHI: The historic public meeting of PPP at Kamoo Shaheed on Saturday has silenced those who critisized the party.

This was stated by the Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Media, Sharmila Faruqi. She was talking to various delegations of women in her office here on Monday. Sharmila said that this huge public meeting has perturbed the Nawaz League and Tehrik-i-Insaf. She stated that the PPP is the most popular political party in the country and that the ‘Jiyalas’ of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, are the assets of the party.

Sharmila asked Mian Nawaz Sharif and his associates that instead of criticizing the present democratic government, they should pay attention towards controlling crimes in the Punjab. She made it clear that the PPP is well aware as to how to protect the interests of the people. Sharmila said that Sharif brothers talk only whereas the PPP serves the masses in real terms.
