Commission on Abbottabad operation records statements of police,intelligence

ISLAMABAD: The Inquiry Commission on Abbottabad operation on Thursday recorded statements of the officers of Police, intelligence and local witnesses of the area of incident.The Inquiry Commission comprising Former Senior Judge of the Supreme Court and President of the commission Justice Javed Iqbal, I.G ® Abbas Khan,Ashraf Jahangir Qazi and Lt. Gen. ® Nadeem Ahmed; members of the commission continued working on 3rd day in Abbottabad, said a press release.The officers gave statements on behalf of their respective departments about events regarding the operation.The local witnesses also presented their view point. The commission also interacted with print/electronic media regarding the incident to ascertain their view point.The Commission will again visit Abbottabad to record the statements of remaining witnesses including civilians and media persons. – APP
