ISLAMABAD: Imtiaz Haider and Muhammed Asif Arif have joined the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as commissioners for securities market division and insurance respectively. According to a statement issued by the Commission here today, Mr. Haider has over 20 years experience in finance, business management, corporate governance, academia and marketing.He is a former SECP executive director and managing director of the Islamabad Stock Exchange. In addition to an MBA, he also has a law degree. Mr Arif is a qualified chartered insurer from the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, and has an MBA from IBA, Karachi.
He has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, claims, reinsurance, management and finance. He has also been on various committees of the Insurance Association of Pakistan and Karachi Insurance Institute. – APP
