ISLAMABAD: A Russian Delegation from Ministry of Energy, on Thursday expressed the willingness to provide technology, investment and cooperation in training. The delegation, currently on a two-day visit to Pakistan, was headed by Mikhail Pleshkin along with Russian Worldwide Famous Companies, Inter-Rao Uec and Technopromexport.The delegation was received by Minister of Water & Power, Syed Naveed Qamar at his office. The delegation visited Planning Commission of Pakistan, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources, Ministry of Water & Powr, Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB), besides meeting with Secretary, WAPDA and officials of Habib Rafiq (Pvt) limited.
Delegation was informed about shortage of electricity, possibilities of cooperation in oil, gas, and power generation, distribution and upgrading oil powr sector.Both Governments Experts meeting would be held in August and would finalize recommendation for projects mutually pointed out by both Countries.Both side stressed for active cooperation in Energy and Water & Power sector.Mikhail Pleskin assured full cooperation to resolve electricity shortage in Pakistan.
