Usman new Rustame Pakistan

LAHORE: Usman Majeed alias Billu Pehalwan Sunday won the title of the Rustam-e-Pakistan Dangal after beating Hamid Multani Pehalwan in a traditional wrestling competition here at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium in Karachi.Earlier, World Beach Games silver medallist Usman, also Rustam-e-Punjab, ended the decade-long title winning streak of Bashir Bhola Bhala in the semi-final and continued his dominance in the traditional sports by overwhelming another experienced grapler Hamid.Before the final, the third position was secured by Rustam-e-Gujranwala Ramzan, also known as Jani Pehalwan in wrestling circles, who defeated Nadir Daha Pehalwan. The event was organized in the city after 61 years. After the competition, the winners danced over their success in a traditional style for the amusement of a huge crowd turned up to support the wrestlers. – TheNation
