FC seizes huge cache of arms

QUETTA: A joint raiding team of Frontier Corps and law enforcement agencies have seized a huge cache of arms, ammunition and other items used in sabotage activities in a raid in Patfeedar area of the district Jaffarabad, DIG FC Shehzad Akhtar said in a press conference here Tuesday.The joint raiding team which consisted of officials from the local Levies, police and FC was formulated on the directives of the provincial government in order to eliminate anti-social elements active in the area for the last few months.On a tip-off the team raided a house in Mir Hassan area of the district and arrested an alleged kingpin of a terrorist group who smuggled heavy and sophisticated arms to various terrorist groups active in the area.The security officials recovered several light machine guns, sub-machine guns, 7.62mm rifles, 7mm rifles, night vision goggles, scanners, radio sets, bullet proof jackets, one motorbike, 40mm grenade launchers and a vehicle. – Thenews
