PM inaugurates wheat harvesting

RENALA KHURD: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that the farmers are getting prosper owing to farmer-friendly policies by the incumbent government.He was addressing the wheat harvesting inaugural ceremony at Moazam Agriculture Farm Wasawewala (Deepalpur) on Sunday.The Prime Minister inaugurated the wheat harvesting by operating Combine Harvester at the agri farm.

On this occasion Gilani said that the terrorism and energy problems were inherited to the PPP-led coalition government.He said that government had taken solid steps to over come the energy problems and various plans are also in the pipeline in this regard. He added the government with public support would be succeeded in eliminating the menace of terrorism as the whole nation is united over the issue.The Prime Minister further said that the government was taking various steps for solving the problems of farming community and the development of agri sector.Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo also addressed the wheat inaugural ceremony.Later the federal minister hosted luncheon in honour of Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and gifted him two cows, six traditional stools made from reeds, a Huqa and a Scythe. – APP
