ISLAMABAD: Government has deferred the extension in federal cabinet till next financial budget 2011-12 in June as the addition not possible before June due to financial problems.Reliable sources told Media that the government has decided not to extend the cabinet due to financial problems; the officials of finance ministry briefed the government in this regard and advised the government not to extend the cabinet to maintain reduction in the expenditures of the government.
The sources added that more 10 to15 ministers would be inducted in the cabinet after the financial budget 2011-12 and the PPP would give more share to its allies in the cabinet while the party would try to convince dissident parliamentarian who were not inducted in the first phase.The sources informed that there was possibility that Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Fauzia Wahab, Jamshaid Dasti, Senator Raza Faisal Abadi and PPP Punjab chapter President Safdar Wariaich would be inducted in the cabinet, while a decision about their portfolios would be taken later.The sources indicated that there was no possibility of the induction of former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cabinet while Foreign Minister in Benazir Bhutto’s era Sardar Asif Ahmad Ali is trying to gain Foreign Ministry. Raja Pervez Ashraf has started contacts with party leaders for attaining Petroleum Ministry.
