COAS assures Army’s support in development projects

Rawalpindi: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani called on Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani at General Headquarters on Monday.According to ISPR, Chief Minister remained with him for some time and discussed security situation and development projects being undertaken in Balochistan with Army’s assistance.Sources told that matters related to security situation in Balochistan, status of development of project that has been initiated with the help of army were discussed in length.

During the meeting Army Chief assured CM that Army will continue working for the development of Balochistan and would work with civil administration to help maintain peace in the province.Army would also continue its assistance and role in the education of youngsters for their employment, he said.Chief of Army Staff also said that prosperity of Balochistan and peace is vital for Pakistan.Sources that CM Balochistan lauded the role of army in rescue operations of cold miners and also their role in education and social development in Balochistan.CM Balochistan also briefed COAS on the involvement of foreign elements in disrupting peace in Balochistan.Chief of Army staff assured that terrorists would be dealt with iron hands – Onlinenews
