Compensation package for terror victims

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a comprehensive death compensation package comprising cash, plot and other facilities for heirs of police officials and civil servants killed in terror incidents.The package was announced here on Wednesday with the approval of Chief Minister Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti, said a statement.It was stated that under the shuhada package heirs of police personnel and civil servants up to grade-16 will be given Rs3 million per head, and for grade-17 the package will be Rs5 million.Similarly, heirs of civil officers of grade-18 and 19 will be given Rs9 million per person, and of police and civil officers from grade-20 to 22 an amount of Rs10 million as death compensation.Under the same package, heirs of martyred police personnel and officers will also be granted price equal to 5-marla, 10-marla and one kanal plots according to their grades as residence facility that will be from Rs1 million to Rs5 million.All other facilities such as full pension, free education for children, health and payment of salaries till age of retirement, admissible to police martyrs will also be applicable to all civil servants under the package – Dawn
