LONDON, Nov 14 (APP)- The rich array of Pakistani textiles was displayed through a fashion show put together by a leading company with the collaboration of Pakistan High Commission here at the weekend.The show unveiled that real exports Pakistan is proud of is the fashion and textile industry as well the growing music industry, not terrorism as the country is often perceived and alleged by many within the international community.
Realizing this need, a show of journey into evolution of Pakistani haute couture and music industry was brought forth by the ‘Labels’ with the co-operation of the Pakistani diplomatic mission at the Great Hall, Central London. This grand Pakistani Fashion Show was a testimony to the fact that indeed Pakistan’s largest industry and export is textiles and designer clothing which has come a long way indeed.
Putting together a show that was long needed to allay western fears that Pakistan is becoming a country dominated by terrorism and extremism. The women on the ramp were walking testimony that Pakistan is looking ahead into a bright future where women are not only fashionably dressed, but also professionally equipped and enjoying the modern world with modern music and moderate values.
Currently LABELS retails leading Pakistani designers like Maheen Karim, Sadiya Nadiya, Zara Shajahan, Elan, Chamak, Mina Hasan, Flair, Sublime by Sara, Maheen Erum, Kamiar Rokni, Umar Sayeed, Sara Gilani, Ayesha Anoushey, Sanam Chaudhri, Fahad Husain, Neelo Allawala, Fariha Bawany, HSY, Satya Paul and Priya Awasthy.
