San Francisco Giants Win 2010 World Series

The San Francisco Giants beat the Texas Rangers 3-1 to win major league baseball’s World Series championship Monday.San Francisco won game five of the 2010 World Series behind the pitching of star Tim Lincecum, who struck out 10 Texas batters and gave up just three hits – one of them a solo home run by Nelson Cruz – over eight innings of work.Edgar Renteria also played a pivotal role for the visiting Giants, blasting a 3-run home in the seventh inning off Rangers’ ace pitcher Cliff Lee to break up a scoreless game, and help his team clinch the Series by winning four out of five games.
