Renteria was named the Series’ most valuable player.This is sixth World Series title in Giants’ history, and their first since since 1954, when they were based in New York and Hall-of-Famer Willie Mays was in the lineup. The Giants moved west to San Francisco in 1958.The Rangers were making their first World Series appearance in the 50-year history of the franchise, which began in Washington – Voanews
