LAHORE :Dr Saeed Elahi, Punjab Parliamentary Secretary Health, on Sunday alleged that Ch Pervaiz Elahi served as a broker for five years with help of Musharraf instead of running the government and set new records of taking commissions on paper projects. In a press statement he said Ch Pervaiz completed no development project in his five years tenure. When the present government started practical work on paper projects of the former provincial government, Ch Pervaiz began to give misleading statements.Dr Saeed said Chief Minister Punjab had never tried to take credit of any project of the previous government. However, he alleged, it was a fact that no project was started formally by the former rulers and they were contented to take kickbacks only.He said Lahore-Kasur Road project remained pending for five years and when Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif completed this project in a record period at the cost of rupees five billion, Pervaiz Elahi was finding it difficult to accept this reality. He alleged that Pervaiz Elahi only carried out real estate business on the pretext of Ring Road project and this project was changed six times for obliging the favourites – Nation
