PM allocates Rs. 50 mln for burn unit in Hayatabad Medical Complex

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has allocated Rs. 50 million for establishment of Burn Unit in Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar.He said that this unit will also cater to the needs of the victims of terrorism as well.The Prime Minister made this announcement in a meeting with Minister for Communication Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan and Mrs. Asma Arbab Alamgir MNA who called on him at Prime Minister House here on Monday afternoon.The Prime Minister said that he would be visiting Chitral in the near future to oversee the reconstruction and rehabilitation work initiated in the aftermath of the torrential rains and devastating floods.He directed the provincial government and NDMA to accelerate supply of provisions to the affectees of Chitral keeping in view the approaching winter season.The Prime Minister asked the Communication Minister to ensure early completion of road reconstruction damaged by the torrential rains and ravaging floods.He opined that development and modernization of the road infrastructure is very important for overall economic progress of the country.He further said delay in repair of damaged roads is creating hindrance in provision of supplies to affectees particularly in the far flung areas like Chitral.The Minister apprised the Prime Minister of progress of various ongoing infrastructure development projects and also discussed development schemes launched in their respective constituencies – App
