LCCI elections: paper market businessmen assure PIAF-Founders Alliance full support

LAHORE (September 07 2010): Business community of paper market and Urdu Bazar has assured its full support to the PIAF-Founders Alliance in the forthcoming elections of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). The Alliance candidates including Mohammad Yousaf Shah, Fahimur Rehman, Ilyas Majid Sheikh, Sohail Azhar, Shahid Maqssod Butt, Wajid Ali, Khawaja Khawar Rashid and Main Maqsood Ali under the leadership of Associate Class campaign in charge Sohail Lashari visited the paper market and Urdu Bazar on Monday.

LCCI Vice President Faisal Iqbal Sheikh, PIAF Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and LCCI Executive Committee member Anwaar A Sheikh also addressed the gathering.The paper market leaders Zulqarnain Malik, Mohammad Ajmal Ali Asif Bukhari, Khamis Saeed Butt, Samiullah Butt, Malik Amer Asghar and Zahid Bukhari while welcoming the Alliance Associate Class Candidates, said the business community would continue support the alliance as whenever the businessmen of the market approached the LCCI over some issues, they got a quick response. They said that all the alliance candidates are known businessmen and would win the forthcoming LCCI polls with thumping majority.

LCCI former Senior Vice President and the head of Associate Class candidates Sohail Lashari said that LCCI was a true representative of the business community and the alliance had selected right persons for the polls. He said that the outgoing LCCI office-bearers had given a marvellous performance. He said that preparation of Economic Agenda 2010-30, establishment of Halal Board and Pakistan Water Front were some of the measures taken by the LCCI Office-bearers during the year and it would have very long lasting impact on Pakistan’s economy – Brecorder
