Darren Criss is following in the footsteps of his “Glee” co-star Matthew Morrison by releasing his own solo album.Criss found fame playing an openly gay student in the hit musical show, and he has now signed a deal with Sony music executives to record his debut.”We’re working on it — we’re really excited and it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time,” he told Billboard.com. “I’m so thrilled that it’s something that can happen because of ‘Glee’ … I hope I can do it justice and make it something that people can really enjoy.”Criss and Morrison aren’t the only “Glee” stars to put out their own solo songs — Mark Salling, who plays bad boy Puck, has recorded two studio albums. – MSN
