Authorities say two commercial passenger jets have been searched at John F. Kennedy International Airport because of an anonymous phone call claiming explosives were on them. They say no explosives have been found.
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Ron Marsico says Port Authority police received the threats regarding Finnair Flight 5 from Helsinki and American Airlines Flight 24 from San Francisco on Monday afternoon.Both planes landed without incident and were immediately searched. Police say both flights have been cleared.
The Port Authority says there was minimal impact on other flights going in and out of JFK.
