Russia and Israel have signed an agreement to increase cooperation cooperate on the exploration and use of space.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu oversaw the signing of the agreement between Russia’s space agency Roscosmos and the Israeli Space Agency Sunday in Tel Aviv.The agreement was signed Roscosmos head Anatoly Perminov and the Israeli Space Agency Director Zvi Kaplan.Roscosmos issued a statement saying the new agreement will help develop organizational groundwork for other joint activities involving research and the use of space and the application of space technologies for peaceful purposes.Perminov is quoted as saying that the countries have “positive experience” in the area of space exploration, noting that Russian vehicles have helped launched five Israeli spacecraft into orbit.
