1ST QUAID-E-AZAM OPEN GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

A press conference was held at Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club,on Thursday 8th December in connection with the 1st QUAID_E_AZAM OPEN GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP and adressed by M.Sharif Janjua,Marketing nsultant,Shezan  International,Wasim Mahmood,Director Marketing,Shezan,Khawaja Imran Zubair,Convenor Golf,Amir Mehmood,Captain Golf,and Khawaja Pervaiz Saeed,Tournament Director.

Khawaja Pervaiz,Tournament Director stated that through a superb initiative the Lahore Gymkhana Golf Committee and Shezan International Ltd have combined to originate an open golf championship in the name of Father of the Nation, appropriately titled as QUAID-e-AZAM Open Golf Championship. Not there on the national golf calendar previously, it will help to illuminate the competitive golf scene with an event that will be a celebrated and distinguished one and glisten and glow as a major championship of Pakistan. As a consequence thereof, the holding of this tournament represents an enormous occasion for Lahore Gymkhana as the Organizers and Shezan International Ltd, as the title sponsors.

He also said that,for the professional golf players of Pakistan, this event seeks to create a prodigious opportunity and ample are the cash prizes for the top performers, besides non cash awards for the participating amateurs. A million rupee cash bag is there for distribution amongst the 40 best professionals and featuring in the contest will be players of remarkable ability and talent and one can expect them to show their extraordinary golf ability. Watching the top players of our golf circuit in action is always a delight and this grand occasion provides an opportunity to the golf lovers to quench their love for the game by observing tremendous performances by the leading stars of the golf circuit.

Amir Mehmood,Captain Golf said that,the title sponsor of this championship is Shezan International Ltd, regarded as the most progressive and front runner in all pure premium quality Guava, juices and allied items.On this occasion Wasim Mahmood,Director Marketing,Shezan stated that the Shezan Management was glad to promote healthy activity,in these  otherwise depressing days,and they were proud to be associated with a championship that was named after the Father of The Nation and hoped to continue support of this event in years to come.Amir Mehmood explained the tournament details which were as follows.

Total prize money is Rs 1,000,000.

It will be distributed to the Professionals who win top 40 positions.

Winner will receive Rs 146,000/-

Senior Professionals (Cash)

Total prize money is Rs 200,000.

First 10 Position holders will be entitled to receive cash prizes.

55 bunkers, 6 water hazards and out of bounds on 8 holes add to the challenge and test of the champions ability and force them to strategize and plan their shots.
