ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Senator Rehman Malik, Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal Zamurd Khan, President Polo Club Lahore Irfan Ali Haider, Special Secretary to Prime Minister Muhammad Ayub Qazi, former MNA Nazir Ahmad Jatt called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani separately here on Thursday and presented cheques for the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. Minister for Interior presented a cheque of Rs. 50 million donated by employees of NADRA. Irfan Ali Haider presented a cheque for Rs. 4.3 million and Ayub Qazi presented a cheque donated by employees of Public Wing Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
The Prime Minister appreciated the gesture of employees, who responded to his appeal to donate generously for their brethren stranded in the rain-hit areas of Sindh.He appreciated the performance of Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal in providing relief to the people.The Prime Minister directed Managing Director Bait-ul-Maal to initiate special relief package for women and children of flood hit areas.Former MNA Ch. Nazir Ahmed Jatt, who is also Chairman National Group in Saudi Arabia apprised the Prime Minister about efforts of Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia to provide relief goods to the rain affected people.The Prime Minister appreciated his role in encouraging Saudis and Pakistani expatriates to invest in various sectors in Pakistan. – APP
