KARACHI: Zeenat Saeed Ahmed, renowned designer and women entrepreneur, on Friday launched her 2nd outlet namely ‘Emporio Taneez’ in Karachi.
She is a famous in the silver wears sector and is working over the last 10 years. She designs not only silver jewellery but decoration pieces also. Garments and silver works of Zeenat are very popular abroad as well as in the country. Her targeted customers are living abroad as she exports her items across the world, including the United States.
‘Emporio Taneez’ was launched in Clifton at an impressive ceremony followed by a fashion presentation. Besides a large number of locals, several prominent figures of the metropolis, particularly belonging to fashion industry, attended it.Zeenat gathered several well known and new comers in fashion designing sector, including Umar Saeed, Shaiyanne, Mehdi, Unbeatable, Amir Adnan, Umar Batul, FNK Asia, Raffael and Nazish Lutfullah. She was of the view that by gathering both new and senior designers, she was providing an opportunity and a platform to promote fashion designers.
Talking to Daily Times, she said: “Owing to the rising trend of silver jewellery in the society due to rising prices of gold, even brides use silver. She has decided to launch both silver plated and pure ornaments. She wanted to moderate silver metal for them.”Zeenat said, “I design and create pieces with my own hands as handmade products increase the value, bestow a natural look and capture the focus of clients.”She said that she got the inspiration for silver products when she saw majority of people gathered around the silver items at an exhibition. She said: “Being an exporter, she smartly monitors the international trends and according to her observation though people abroad do not like the glittering metallic ornaments, trends of silver are on rise across the world.”
Replying to a question about her initiative to launch another outlet in the metropolis amid ongoing law and order situations, she said that she focused positive aspects of all matters.When asked, Several designers, including Umer Saeed, said that they hoped that the outlet would catch the attention of customers and significantly serve those people who lived abroad and used to purchase from Pakistan. They also expressed best wishes for Zeenat.
Speaking on the occasion, Tehmina Khalid, who was also organiser of the event, said that the outlet was a beautiful addition among such type of outlets. She said that Zeenat was going to enhance her range so as to facilitate people under one roof, particularly those who would have to purchase “Jahaze”. It is pertinent to mention here that Zeenat announced on the occasion that she would also make available furniture and other house accessories at her outlet. Now she also planed to open her outlets abroad.
The ceremony concluded with a fashion presentation. As many as six model girls presented various designs. A large number of common people, several celebrities and fashion designers were present on the occasion. – Dailytimes
