LAHORE: After a gap of five years, the international music band JoSH is all set to release its much-awaited album, “Beyond Kismat”, across Pakistan today (Monday).The new album is a blend of traditional Punjabi tarka fused with western beats and rock music, which the band hopes will infuse positive energy and enthusiasm in the listeners. The message that the band wants to put across through this album, “Beyond Kismat”, is that “destiny is always in our own hands”.The duo Rupinder Magon (Rup) and Qurram Hussain (Q) has not only exemplified themselves as the music icon of love and peace but has also entertained their fans from across the border with quality music. As a mark of their love for the Pakistanis, Rup and Q have decided to launch the album first in Pakistan and later on in India, Bangladesh, Middle East, Canada and Europe.Their new album carries nine tracks, which includes one remix as well. The pair of Indo-Pak singers will be presenting eight songs, namely “Qatilana”, spiced up with JoSH’s version of RD Burman song “Yeh Zameen”. The album also contains some soothing love songs, namely “Achi Ajeeb Ho Tum” and “Meri Rahoon Main”. Separately, Rup shows his command over Punjabi beats through the songs “Pyar Ho Gaya”, “Kuriye” and “Hun Te Main”. Also, some light, musical songs like “Meri Dua” and “Meri Dusri Dua” make the album more appealing. With the amazing vocals of Q, the album is all set to rock the hearts of millions across the globe. “Yeh Zameen” was composed by RD Burman in 1982 and after 29 years people will get to hear the soothing melody of Burman but in the voice of JoSH. All the songs were recorded in Canada and the video of the song “Pyar Hogaya” was directed and produced in Mumbai. – Dailytimes
