Supreme Court (SC) has sought from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) details of the loan reference against Ittefaq Foundry. The court issued these directives during course of hearing of NAB appeal plea against the acquittal of guarantor of company Mukhtar Hussain in Ittefaq Foundry case. A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Javed Iqbal took up the case for hearing Tuesday.
Lahore High Court (LHC) acquitted company guarantor Mukhtar Hussain declaring his detention illegal in the case of default of loan to the tune of over one billion rupees. NAB had filed appeal against the exoneration of Mukhtar Hussain in SC. The hearing of the case has been adjourned for indefinite period. – Online News
