ABBOTTABAD: Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik on Sunday said that the government will establish first Women Police Academy in Abbottabad, which will be affiliated with National Police Academy, Islamabad.Addressing a women workers convention of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the minister said that a separate office of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) for women will be established in Abbottabad where women officials will be deployed.He said that the ministry will set up seven new counters for women in Passport office in Abbottabad. He announced to allocate his own senator’s funds for provision of drinking water and improving the living standard of poor people of the hilly areas of Abbottabad.
He said that present government of Pakistan peoples party has encouraged the women to play their effective role in the development of the country and now they are working in various professions including police and army.He said Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a great leader who always raised voice for the rights of women. He said due to reconciliation policy of the present government, the country is moving on right track of development and progress.He said the government has effectively handled the issue of terrorism and made a strong strategy to stop the activities of terrorists, who are the real enemy of Islam and the country as well, he added – App
