Art is not considered as art without emotion. Emotion is something that builds an art. Emotion might be happiness, sadness, animosity or perhaps a mixture of several.

If a sculpture, painting or any art fails to induce and arouse an emotion inside a person or a viewer, then it’s solely wall décor. It just makes something fetching and appealing on a wall. Art must grab us and make us feel something. Good art always stirs the emotion of pressing and exacting. It’s an urgent cry that forces us to pay attention and contemplate the work. We are unable to appraise emotions as static, momentary experiences because they unfold and remold. These things travel with us as we go across our lives and modern still life paintings need to capture the movement of the subject and the movement of the emotions.

When we reflect on our lives, we don’t remember our emotions by the minute. We remember our emotions as they sojourned with us during a period in our lives. Happy moments in our lives come as fresh joy and change into broad nostalgia later. Emotions move via time.

Whenever an emotion is captured by an artist, in actual the time is captured.
Artists are tasked to provide a print of the visual moment, as well as the emotional connotation which is surrounding the subject matter. If we take an elementary example, a modern still life painting may depict a room with a rack of bookshelf. The emotion poured into the painting by the artist may convey a message about the love for books in a beautiful way.

Art speaks to what is present and what is pointedly missing.
Whatsoever is seen in a portrait and our every answer to a question is only revealed in the silent dialogue between the artist and the viewer. People, who are much interested in art and have an artistic mind, are the only people who are able to go in the depths of the portrait and get answers to their questions.
