According to the Whatsapp Live Location Tracking feature, friends will be enabled to track live location of each other so that they can have sudden hang-outs. However, the inbuilt feature in Whatsapp for real-time location tracking will remain disabled for users until they decide to turn it on. The feature, which is both for latest android and iOS operating systems, is currently being test in beta version.

For privacy concerns, the Whatsapp users will have to enable the real-time location tracking feature for more than two minutes. Meanwhile, the rumour mill suggests that the instant messaging app has been testing on another feature according to which users can revisit or even edit their previous chat messages. Having said that, this feature will only be applicable to messages that have not been read yet.
