PCB releases Pakistan-England series itinerary in 2012

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday announced the itinerary for Pakistan’s off-shore series against England to be played in United Arab Emirates (UAE) in January – February 2012. “Three Test Matches, four One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals will be played during the eight week tour,” said a PCB statement. 

England will start their tour with 3-day game on January 7 and conclude the tour with third T20 on February 27.The first Test will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium from January 27 and first ODI at Abu Dhabi on February 13.Pakistan is playing their home series away because of foreign teams’ security concern in Pakistan.

Pakistan also played their home series against South Africa in UAE last year. Pakistan will also be playing their home series against Sri Lanka in UAE starting next month.  Following is tour itinerary.
Jan 3  England team arrival in UAE
Jan 7-9  3-day warm-up
Jan 11-13 3-day warm-up
Jan 17-21 Ist Test at Dubai
Jan 25-29  2nd Test at Abu Dhabi
Feb 3-7    3rd Test at Dubai
Feb 10  1-day warm-up at Abu Dhabi
Feb 13  1st ODI at Abu Dhabi
Feb 15   2nd ODI at Abu Dhabi
Feb 18  3rd ODI at Dubai
Feb 21  4th ODI at  Dubai
Feb 23  1st T20 at Dubai
Feb 25  2nd T20 at Dubai
Feb 27 3rd T20 at Abu Dhabi – APP
