Security arrangements finalized for T20 cricket cup

FAISALABAD: Strict security arrangements have been made to hold T20 cricket cup tournament, which will commence at Iqbal Stadium here from Friday (June 24). According to Secretary Management Committee, Mian Mohsan Rasheed, the event is being held in collaboration with Pakistan Cricket Board, Faysal Bank, City District Government and regional cricket association.He said that teams from Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Sialkot, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Multan and other cities will participate in this eight days event which will remain continue up to July 1.He said that two matches would be played daily and all matches will be day and night and the final match of the tournament would be played on July 01.He said the organizing committee had established ticket booths at different areas of the city for selling tickets at the rate of Rs.25 for each ticket.A ticket will be valid for two matches of a day.These booths have been set up at Iqbal Stadium, Sindh Bad, Ahmed Clinic Riaz Shahid Chowk, Mohala Islamnagar, Mian Clinic Jattanwala Chowk, Ghulam Muhammad Abad, Aminpur Bazaar, Koh-e-Noor Hollywood Saloon, Madina Town, E-mart Susan Road, Gulistan Colony near Ideal Bakery, U-fone franchise Dhobi Ghat, Madina Chowk Samanabad, Gol Chakkar Allama Iqbal Colony, Shahid Medical Store, Babar Chowk, U-fone franchise Sammundri, Cinema Chowk Jaranwala, Main Chowk GT Road Khurarianwala and Punjab Pharmacy Dhuddiwala.
