ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan will issue final list of candidates for the upcoming general elections to be held on May 11 after four hectic rounds from submitting nominations papers to withdraw the candidature ended on Thursday.
Prominent among those who withdrew their nomination papers include former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar from NA-177, eight candidates including Sheikh Waqas Akram from NA-89, Javed Dasti from NA-177 and NA-178, PPP’s Iftikhar Tanoli from NA-118. Polling would be held on May 11 after completion of ballot papers and election campaign. – TheNews
