Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted hot weather for Karachi today (Thursday), Media reported.

The weather body has stated that mercury is likely to reach 40 degrees centigrade. Weather expert have stated that the heatwave will prevail in the city for the next two days.
Doctors have advised citizens to take precautionary measures to beat the heat and consume more liquids in order to remain hydrated.

According to PMD, dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while hot and dry weather in Sindh, South Punjab and Southern parts of Balochistan.

However, light rain-thunderstorm/drizzle can be expected at a few places in Malakand division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir in the next 48 hours.

Dust-thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places in D.I.Khan, D.G.Khan and Multan divisions.
