Karachi: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasan rewarded on Wednesday with Rs 50,000 cash to police head constable Rahim Bakhsh who had foiled bank heist bid at Nazimabad.
It is pertinent to mention here that the cop had not only thwarted the bank robbery but also killed two alleged dacoits in an encounter.Giving away cash prize to the cop at his office, the home minister said that courageous and brave policemen would be encouraged immensely.He directed police department to encourage the personnel with good performance so that they could play their role devotedly in maintaining peace by curbing crimes in the province.
On the occasion AIG Karachi Akhtar Hussain Gorchani, DIG Tahir Navid and other were also present there.Meanwhile, the home minister on Wednesday directed the police officials to improve traffic and security conditions along Hawks Bay and Mauripur truck stand with consultations from transporters to remove their apprehensions.
He stated this while presiding over a meeting at his office. Transport Minister Akhtar Hussain Jadoon, Additional IG Karachi Akhtar Hussain Gorchani, Additional IG Traffic Syed Zakir Hussain, Rangers and police officials and transporters representatives attended the meeting.The home minister asked the transporters to adopt security measures at their end. – Dailytimes
