MQM announces one-day mourning

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has declared one-day mourning on Wednesday over killing of 12 innocent people in the Shershah scrap market. MQM chief, Altaf Hussain expressed extreme sorrow and grief over the cruel attack in which more than 12 people were gunned down and several others were injured seriously. Reacting over the deadly attack, Altaf said, “It seems there is no such thing as a government in the city and Karachi had been left to the mercy of remorseless killers who are striking at their will in the city.” He appealed to observe peaceful mourning on Wednesday and organise recitation of the holy Quran and also appealed the people to remain peaceful and mourn their loved ones. staff report – Dailytimes
