LAHORE – Bishop of Lahore Dr Alexander John Malik has retired will be replaced by Elected Member of the Bishop elections Right Reverend Irfan Jameel. According to sources, the oath taking ceremony will be held at 11am at the Cathedral Church at Mall Road in which both Malik and Jameel would participate along with other bishops and government officials.
Malik is not expected to give up his powers right away. In fact, he will perform his duties until a year at least during which Jameel will follow him in orientation. After a year, the new bishop will assume full charge – Pakistan today
