Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi declared chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, a proclaimed offender in a case pertaining to riots on Lahore-Islamabad motorway.

The court, after hearing the case, ordered police authorities to issue proclamations and advertisement notices and display them on public places. The ATC, which proceeded the case against Qadri and 110 other accused, later adjourned the hearing till Nov 27.

Thursday’s development comes a day after Islamabad’s Special Anti-Terrorism Court issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan and Dr. Qadri over incitement of violence during anti-government protests. – Samaa
