Security officials in Peshawar said on Monday night there was no confirmation of the death of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan chief Mullah Fazlullah in a drone strike in Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province as reported by some TV channels quoting a Dubai newspaper.

“We are trying to verify these reports,” a senior security official said.

“The last we heard about him was that he was in Kunar and not in Nangarhar,” the official said.
