BF starts canvassing for SCCI polls

PESHAWAR (September 15 2010): Businessman Forum (BF) on Tuesday formally launched campaign for the annual election 2010-11 of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) on September 23.

In this connection, president SCCI, Riaz Arshad, vice presidents, Faiz Mohammad Faizi and Zulfikar Ali Khan, former presidents Sharafat Ali Mubarak, Haji Mohammad Aasaf, Shaulat Ali Khan, Inayat Khan, Haji Mohammad Israr Khan, Mazhar-ul-Haq, Jamshid Khan, Abdullah, member executive SCCI along with the unopposed newly elected members executive committee, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi, Mohammad Iqbal, Brigadier Abdul Samad (Retd) and candidates of the Businessman Forum for Associate Group, Abid Salam, Aftab Ahmad and Ghulam Sabir Saraf visited different markets of the Namak Mandi.

The leaders of the Businessman Forum visited Medicine Market and office of the Gems & Jewellery Association. A large number of traders and shopkeepers were also present on the occasion. The traders and shopkeepers of the area accorded warm welcome to the leaders of the businessman forum.

Speaking on the occasion, president SCCI, Riaz Arshad said that with the blessing of Almighty Allah and full support of the business community all four candidates of the Businessman Forum for the Corporate Group have been elected unopposed, while the seats reserved for Town Association and women have also been clinched by the forum unopposed. He was confident that the candidates of Businessman Forum for Associate Group would also be elected with thumping majority. Brecorder
