ISLAMABAD: After due scrutiny, the HEC (Higher Education Commission) has forwarded investigated degrees of 657 Parliamentarians and MPAs to ECP (Election Commission of Pakistan).According to HEC sources, out of these 603 degrees have been declared as genuine, with 54 of these as fake; while 376 degrees’ cases were still under investigation over their matriculation and intermediate degrees.
However none of the fake degree holders have been penalized so far, while according to sources ECP has still not handed over degrees of 5 Parliamentarians to HEC for clarification, despite a lapse of six months – Onlinenews
