A delegation of Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation and Hayat Durrani Water Sports Academy (HDWSA) Hanna Lake headed by Hayatullah Khan Durrani call upon Governor Balochistan Justice Retired Amanullah Khan Yasinzai here in Governor House Quetta Pakistan National Canoeing Champion Mohammad Abubakar Durrani and Farhanullah Kakar and National canoeing Coach Mohammad Aslam Kassi were part of the delegation.
Hayatullah Khan Durrani (Pride-of-Performance) Secretary Pakistan canoe and Kayak Federation, founder and Chief Executive (HDWSA) briefed the Governor Balochistan Justice Retired Amanullah Khan Yasinzai about the Pakistan National Canoeing team performance in the ICF canoeing Championship organized by the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation with collaboration of Venice Canoe & Dragon Boat in Auronzo di Cadore Italy. He mentioned that Pakistan National canoeing team selected from Balochistan on merits including Mohammad Abubakar Durrani and Farhanullah Kakar contested in the K1-200M, K1-500M and K2-200M men senior events of the championship and amazingly reached in the semifinal of the recent ICF International Canoeing sprint Championship in Italy.
Justice Retired Amanullah Khan Yasinzai hail the brilliant performance of Pakistan National canoeing team reaching in semifinal of the ICF International Canoeing sprint Championship in Italy. Governor appreciated and assured full support for the development of canoKayak Olympic sports in Pakistan especially in Balochistan and emphasized that Government of Balochistan will support and finance the Canoeing International team of Pakistan for their tremendous representation on International level.
Governor Balochistan also assured that every possible effort will be made to ensure the desilting and cleaning of Hanna lake main canal to make continue the flood water to divert it from surrpull main Urrak road to Hanna lake to save the future of the Canoeing and Rowing players of Balochistan trained at HDWSA Hanna Lake Quetta.
In the meeting Hayatullah Khan Durrani said that on the occasion of Medals distribution closing ceremony of Championship he attractively presented commemorative shields on behalf of Pakistan canoe and Kayak Federation to the Chief guest of the ceremony Mrs. Tatiana Pais Becher Mayor of Auronzo city Italy and guest of honour Mr. Luciano Buonfiglio President Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation to commemorate Pakistan National Canoeing team Participation in the ICF CanoeKayak Championship Italy 2019. The Chief Guest Mrs. Tatiana Pais Becher welcomed and appreciated Pakistan participation in the ICF championship and hoped that Pakistan will participate in the next coming Canoeing event to be held in Auronzo city Italy, earlier Ms Maria Balanos Secretary organizing committee of the championship warmly welcomed Pakistan National canoeing team at the canoeing arena inAuronzo di Cadore Italy.
It may be recall that Mohammad Abubakar Durrani is Pakistan’s No1 seed and best youngest Sprint Canoeing Champion in the senior and U 23 category in K1 200 M events. Mohammad Abubakar Durrani is the only sprint CanoeKayak paddler athlete in Pakistan to have won “National Player of the Year Award since 2007 to 2018, Mohammad Abubakar Durrani is the only player who is wining this Award in Pakistan continuously nine times in sprint Kayak Peddling Olympic sports.
