According to a notification issued by the authority, the ban on airing Indian content will be applicable from 3PM, October 21, 2016 and any tlelevision or radio channel violating the ban will have its license cancelled without a show-cause notice. The authority took this decision after receiving reply to a summary from government of Pakistan, which authorised the the autority full powers to take decisions regarding Indian content.
