Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif will leave for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on March 9 on a two-day visit, where he will witness ongoing military exercise

‘North Thunder’ in the field, said the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR in a statement said that Gen Sharif was extended a special invite by the kingdom to attend the ongoing military manoeuvre, which the army chief accepted.

Military contingents from more than 21 states including Pakistan have been partaking in the exercise ‘North Thunder’, underway in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier to this, the Foreign Office (FO) confirmed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s three-day visit to the kingdom to witness the manoeuvre.

Premier Sharif will also hold a meeting with King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
