Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday has said that an important institution of the state carried out a raid at party headquarters today and arrested innocent people. He said that theRangers killed MQM worker Waqas Shah.

He expressed these views while addressing the people gathered at Nine-Zero post-Rangers’ raid of the headquarters.
Hussain said that at least 60 innocent people have been arrested by the Rangers from Nine-Zero. MQM chief said that theRangers did not have arrest warrants for anybody. He urged the activists to raise their voice to support MQM in wake of this victimization. He said that Rangers personnel had brought weapons wrapped in quilts to the MQM headquarters. Hussain said that the Rangers authorities are not ready to take responsibility of MQM worker s killing when they are the murderers. He said that his brother and nephew were also murdered in 1995.

MQM chief said that he was waiting for the authorities since the morning to justify what they did. He asked the authorities whether such operation was conducted against any party other than MQM or not. All the weapons seized by the Rangers are licensed, he added. He said that his sister s house was also raided. His sister is suffering from a heart ailment. Hussain said that his brother-in-law was tortured in 1995 in Adiala Jail. Hussain said that people are killed in Pakistan after having a look at their National Identity Cards (NIC). The country has a written constitution but no one bothers to pratice it, he added. MQM chief said that MQM has a zero tolerance policy over terrorism and target killing.
