Prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) have been raised second time in one week by the marketing companies without the approval of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
This time the prices of LPG were jacked up by Rs5 per kilogram. As a result the domestic cylinder witnessed an increase of Rs50 while the rate of commercial cylinder surged by Rs200. After the raise, the price of LPG in Karachi now stands at Rs105 per kg while in Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Hyderabad the rates have gone up to Rs115 per kilo. The LPG in Mirpur, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Peshawar, Kohat and Bannu will now be available at Rs135 per kg. -SAMAA
