In a major reshuffle in the police hierarchy, Additional IG Karachi Shahid Hayat has been removed from his post, Samaa reports Thursday.
Ghulam Qadir Thebo has replaced Shahid Hayat and appointed as AIG Karachi. Four additional IGs and five DIGs, who have been working on own pay scale basis, have been removed from their respective posts in compliance with the orders of the Supreme Court. Earlier this month, the Sindh government was directed by the Supreme Court to remove all officers working on an OPS basis. – SAMAA
