KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shahid Nadeem Baloch has directed to beef up the security in the province.
An official said here on Sunday that the IGP has issued directives to the police to ensure security at all public places, vital installations, government and semi government offices and buildings throughout the province. He also instructed to deploy extra force at public places, places of worship of the minorities, mosques and imambargahs. The inspector general also directed effective police patrolling as well as snap checking to ensure safety. The orders were issued in the wake of the bomb blasts in Peshawar on two consecutive Sundays, it was further stated. – DailyTimes
