LAHORE: Several officers of Pakistan Railways who are illegally on leave, are now worried over the orders of PR Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique to urgently report to their department.

According to the PR sources on Sunday, 70 senior PR officers of grade 17 to grade 20 are on leave and doing jobs abroad including Saudi Arab and Middle East.The sources told APP that according to the rules every officer has to deposit 25 percent of his salaries which he receives from his second job.It is pertinent to mention that majority of the officers are illegally doing jobs in abroad as they have not got permission from their department for second job and many of them are on leave to take care of their family including children and wife or parents.

As per details, chief engineer Ameer Muhammad Khan is on leave for 365 days from December 2011 and working abroad, Joint director establishment Arshad Islam Khatak is on leave 730 days from November 2011, Mukhtar Nabi 730 days from April 2012, XEN bridge headquarters Farhan Rafique 1095 days from October 2012, divisional engineer Rawalpindi Anamullah 730 days from October 2011, XEN design headquarters Fareed Ahmad 975 days from July 2010, divisional engineer Peshawar Niazullah Khan 900 days from June 2011, divisional engineer Rawalpindi 1760 days from January 2009, assistant engineer M Anjum Rasheed 365 days from November 2011, deputy director P&L headquarters Qazi Badarullah Ghafoor 1095 days from December 2012 and divisional engineer Lahore Usman Abdullah is on leave for 730 days from July 2012.

XEN headquarters Aftab Mehdi, chief engineer Abdulsamad, project director and an officer Javaid Iqbal have been enjoying leaves for several years.Manager works CSC Khanewal Sami Ullah Khan is on leave for 730 days, DEN Karachi Farrukh Temor Khan for 730 days, divisional engineer Rawalpindi Ehtesham Saifullah for 365 days, XEN signal M Ehsan Khan Yasir for 365 days, director M&S Yahya Jan for 730 days, divisional mechanical engineer Abdul Haseeb Bukhari for one year, staff officer GM M&S Abdul Malik for 730 days and divisional mechanical engineer Rawalpindi Iftekhar Hussain is on leave for 730 days from March 2012.

Manager works construction Mughalpura M Yousuf Leghari is enjoying leave of 730 days at abroad from December 2011, divisional engineer Anjum Ali Naseer is on leave for 1825 days from August 2010, DME Ghulam Qasim for 1095 days, AME track.Qamar Mehboob for 1825 days, senior electrical engineer Ghayas Ur Rehman for 1825 days from 2007, DEE M Farooq for 850 days, senior electrical engineer Bahawalpur Syed Ali Kamran Jafery for 860 days, DEE Shaista Gul Khan for 365 days, senior personnel officer headquarters Irum Ameer Khan for 365 days DTO Lahore Ashfaq Tabassum for 1095 days and Joint director Walton Haneef Gul is on leave for 365 days from August 2012.

While SMO Karren hospital Dr Uzma Asghar Sheikh is enjoying 1825 days leave from January 2013, MO Rawalpindi Tahira Sadiq is on leave for 365 days from January 2013, MO Rawalpindi Dr Nafees Akhtar for 760 days from March 2013 and Senior Medical Officer Karachi Dr M Tayyab is on leave for 365 days from March 2013. – DailyTimes
