ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has earned Rs 14,999.097 million from electricity consumers in last three years, an official informed APP here Tuesday.
Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) deducts Rs 35 from the monthly electricity bills of each consumer as TV license fee, which after deduction of processing fee goes to PTV.As per year wise breakup of the income earned from electricity consumers by PTV Rs 4,637.516 million were earned from power consumers in 2010-11, Rs 4,908.562 million in 2011-12,and 5,453.019 million in 2012-13,he said.
He said that total income of PTV remained Rs 24,342.866 million as compared to Rs 23,967.079 million expenditure during last three years.The breakup of total yearly income of PTV was Rs 7,305.738 million in 2010-11, Rs 7,819.785 million in 2011-12, Rs 9,217.343 million in 2012-13.The total expenditures of PTV stood at Rs 7,086.616 million in 2010-11, Rs 7,672.735 million in 2011-12 and Rs 9,207.728 million in 2012-13. – Brecorder
