Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz SharifISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has approved initiation of disciplinary proceedings against employees of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) including Chief Executive TDAP, Abid Javed Akbar and referred the case involving misappropriation of Rs 1.27 billion to FIA.

The Prime Minister has also approved cancellation of contract of the Chief Executive TDAP and approved referral of the case to Federal Investigation Agency to initiate criminal proceedings against the officials involved in misappropriation and loss to the national exchequer. The Premier asked for initiating disciplinary proceedings against all officers responsible, including former Secretary TDAP Abdul Kabir Qazi and Director General Facilitation Abdul Karim Daud Pota. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also directed to conduct special audit of the last two-year accounts of TDAP. – App
